The journey to a successful interior project starts with a meticulously planned layout and culminates in thoughtful decoration, a process beautifully executed in this project. Spearheaded by Natalia Molba and her team at Molbó Buro, the first phase involved a complete overhaul of the attic floor and window renovations. The attic was insulated and fitted with ventilation and soundproofing, while additional windows were installed in the roof. On the main floor, balcony blocks were replaced with new wooden frames featuring unique glazing. The kitchen, in its classic front, was graced with an elegant arched window, offering views of lush trees that evoke the charm of a country house.
Competing with the unconventional windows for attention is a staircase, its design inspired by French interiors and custom-made by master craftsman Igor Sturov. Its prominence in the living room demanded meticulous attention to detail. The room, bathed in light, is further brightened by a Guy Laroche wool and silk rug, carefully chosen from the Art de Vivre showroom.
The vision for the apartment, shared by the project's author and the client, was to create a gallery-like space. This led to the choice of white for the walls, a backdrop against which objects could stand out. While the furniture is predominantly classic in shape, the layout and carefully curated art pieces lend a modern feel to the interior.
The selection of textiles and accessories was a gradual process, a cornerstone of the design's success. Each element was chosen to fit into the ready-made interior, placing the right accents. This approach has stood the test of time - despite being over three years old, the project still exudes a fresh and contemporary vibe.
