Who we are?
The people at ART de VIVRE are like-minded and dedicated to style. We are a group of interior designers united by the free spirit of Berlin and a perception of comfortable space through a rug. We have embarked on an ambitious journey of excellence and wish to change the interior design industry.
We have worked in great design and architectural companies in Thuringia, Silesia and Bavaria. Once we met at Berlinale in 2019, we realised we had the same views on contemporary style and interior design. We have been thinking about a fantastic path the art has had from Michelangelo to Lars von Trier “cutting away the superfluous”. Keeping the essence – the well-thought-out personal comfort – is the principle of ART de VIVRE.

ARCHITECT RUGS is in the heart of current creative and fashion trends, exploring new trends and collaborating with global brands. We create spaces of the future and help designers, decorators and architects to stay on-trend.

When we bought a house, I immediately thought about getting rugs but I didn’t know where’s the best place to find them. My designer suggested me to check ART de VIVRE. I looked at their portfolio at an exhibition, visited their website and saw how beautiful their projects are and reached them out. That’s how I was introduced to Peter. He made a very nice impression on my husband and I during our first online meeting, he addressed all our concerns and questions. We’ve been talking about our favourite films and books, philosophy and art. He sent us a design that absolutely matched with our expectations and needs. We were impressed! He addressed every problem we faced and gave us some advice that we even couldn’t think of! Our home is such a beautiful place now thanks to Peter and Art de Vivre. The designer Jan Müller from Art de Vivre knew exactly what we wanted and needed. We shared our ideas with him on a meeting and he came with his suggestions right and his ideas even better ones we had. We couldn’t expect that a handmade rug with an abstract pattern would be the main character of our living room. The silk that the rug is made of is amazing! The whole experience was pleasant even though it started during uncertain Covid times. The project was completed within the agreed timing frame with excellent quality. Jan was very attentive to details and had great ideas and recommendations. He had been returning quickly answering my questions and the team had been acting very supportive. The renovation went smoothly, within the expected budget. Would definitely recommend Art de Vivre to others.
The project was completed in September 2021. We were very happy with designer Lisa Wright’s work. The moment we started the remodeling of our home we ordered exceptional custom designed rugs. We were highly impressed with Lisa’s dedication and commitment to the project. We have spent long hours discussing the design with her which was a very interesting experience itself. Currently we are working on another renovation with her and will share our experience once we complete it.
I was looking for a highly professional firm, didn’t want to engage with another boring designers. We wanted something special. After meetings with three design firms, our choice was ART de VIVRE. They didn’t promise too much but have made much more than we expected. They started with a detailed interview with us about our preferences and interests. After a while they showed us the carpet and three design concepts with it. We absolutely loved all of them and it was hard decide so my wife had to choose one. Decisions on other rooms came faster. We felt they wanted to make our house unique and comfortable. The communication with them was smooth and easy. I will recommend this firm to my friends.
