From the get-go, everything fell into place perfectly for Lidia and Zlatan Brkic. They were drawn to the apartment complex's close proximity to the water. Upon closer inspection, they found that the apartment itself was a perfect fit for their needs, with its optimal size and large windows on both sides, ensuring ample natural light even on the gloomiest of days.
The couple was in immediate agreement about the interior design - it would be minimalist and neutral in color, with an emphasis on maintaining a sense of airy spaciousness. At first glance, the apartment appears to be free of clutter, a feat achieved through the clever use of numerous built-in wardrobes, effectively keeping domestic chaos at bay. The wardrobe doors, mostly made of light oak - a favorite material of the hosts - contribute to the interior palette with their white color and striking black accents.
The restrained use of expressive elements is counterbalanced by a careful selection of details. Though few in number, these details stand out in the serene, well-balanced space. The living room ambiance is set by a trio of elements: a panel designed by Ruslan Mazlo, an Art de Vivre rug from the Hollywood Art collection, and a dark table. Each distinct in function and origin, these items complement each other beautifully. In the master bedroom, a white monochrome rug from the Murugan collection exudes a sense of tranquil serenity. In the daughter's room, a round rug from the Art Silk collection pairs perfectly with a round pink armchair, adding a touch of whimsy.
