The designs draw inspiration from the abstract creations of Caroline Genders, a British ceramic artist. The exclusive conceptual TECTONIC collection was developed by Alesya Medvedeva, lead designer of the Art de Vivre Rug Studio.
The inspiration behind the designs lies in the power and beauty of natural forces expressed through the movement of lithospheric plates. Each rug resembles a unique imprint of natural texture, preserving the bends and fractures of solidified rock. Intricate asymmetrical forms layer over one another, creating the illusion of movement.
Cool and warm tones merge into a unified palette governed by nature’s harmony, while the texture of dense matte wool intertwines with the smooth, flowing surface of art silk – much like solid stone meeting molten magma.
The richness of the palette and the variety of materials and textures are balanced by the clarity of the lines, allowing the designs to appear natural and visually refined.

The exclusive Modern History collection by Pierre Gonalons was created by the Art de Vivre Carpet Workshop in collaboration with the renowned Parisian interior designer.
Pierre Gonalons’ signature style blends classical European decorative traditions with contemporary functionality and innovation. The simplicity and impact of his work create a sense of visual harmony that integrates seamlessly into modern interiors. 
For this collection, developed specifically for Art de Vivre, the designer draw inspiration from Parisian coffered ceilings that adorn palaces and private mansions across France. The refined geometric lines add depth and dimension to the space, while the collection’s distinctive shapes and embossed pile clipping enhance this architectural effect.
Each carpet is woven from natural silk, wool, and cashmere, with select pieces incorporating lurex thread for a subtle  shimmering effect. The delicate natural texture offers tactile refinement and brings a timeless sense of elegance to any interior.
