The KUMO collection, designed by Alesya Medvedeva, the leading designer of the ART de VIVRE Carpet Atelier, merges 18th and 19th-century Japanese engravings known as "ukiyo-e" with one of the most popular motifs of Japanese painting - "clouds". Graphic elements such as a mix of different types of hatching, color intensity, and the contrast between clear lines and soft blurred backgrounds are recreated on rug fabric using relief and a combination of textures. Thanks to the multi-level trimming of the pile, it's possible to convey the effect of an imprint on paper with its contrasting contours. The combination of dense wool and light, shiny eucalyptus silk results in aesthetic gradients of tones inherent in picturesque paintings.
The collection showcases the asymmetry of shapes. These original yet unobtrusive silhouettes can fit into any space harmoniously, thanks to balanced proportions. The combination of soft "earthy" shades with dynamic lines will breathe life into the interior, adding a subtle visual accent.
The texture of KUMO rugs will captivate you with its luxurious look and softness. You will enjoy the tactile pleasure of touching the warm pile and appreciate the noble aesthetics of these products, which can add charm to any space.
